Products I've Used Up (September 2014)

I've used up these items over the last month or so. Here's what I thought of them...

Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Reconstructor:
For £4.99, this is an excellent deep conditioner that works very well on dry and coloured hair. I have loved this brand ever since I was a teenager and continue to go back to it often. I do like to dabble in 'higher end' haircare (as you will see with my next product), but sometimes we've all got to put things into perspective and budget. This is almost as good as Redken conditioners, for over half the price, plus it smells gorgeous.

Redken Extreme Shampoo:
This shampoo is aimed at those with brittle, stressed hair and you feel the benefits as soon as you use it. Having highlighted hair can make it even more susceptible to breaking, so I love this range and the soft, pretty scent. This leaves no build up and makes your hair feel soft and looked-after.

Sanex Zero Shower Gel for Sensitive Skin:
I love this product for its price and simplicity. It is the main shower gel that I use because I can trust it to do the job and not lead to any skin irritation.

Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Gentle Daily Micro Polish Wash:
I like this scrub a lot. It says it's gentle enough to be used every day, but I only use it a few times a week. It smells of oranges, which I don't think it needs to (it comes in a orange bottle- we get that it contains Vitamin C!), but it is not unpleasant, quite the opposite. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and the scrubbing particles are small, but densely packed into the product. This allows you to get a thorough, but not irritating exfoliation of dead skin cells which prevent your skin from looking bright.

The Body shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil:

This is a really popular product and for £10, it is decent value for money. The bottle is a re-purchase and lasted me months, so why am I saying it is just ok? For me, I like a cleanser to feel rich and luxurious. I need something that will remove all make-up with minimal effort- this does not meet these criteria. It is a nice product, but 'nice' rather than exceptional. As I have tried more and more skincare, I have found some truly amazing products; sadly, this isn't one of them. I would re-purchase this cleanser when budgeting, but when I want to invest in a something that will leave my 30-year-old skin looking and feeling its best, this won't be it.

 Oskia Perfect Cleanser:
This is a really interesting review for me to do. I craved this product when I read about it online. For just over £30, you get 125ml. This lasted me about three months, using it at least five times a week. It is a thick, rich balm which, on paper, seemed like it would be perfect for my dry skin. It was a lovely product to use, but was it worth the pricetag? I don't think so. It leaves a slight film on your skin, which was ok for me, but not ideal. Emma Hardie's balm cleanser is far better in my opinion. I probably wouldn't re-purchase this because it is pricey, but not exceptional. The tube also makes it difficult to get to all of the product because the balm is so thick.

Dove Go Fresh Nourishing Body Wash:
this watermelon fragranced body wash is perfectly acceptable; it is cheap and smells fine. But it smells synthetic-nice. It is a cream formula and was pleasant to use whilst I had it, but it didn't wow me.

None of the products offended me enough to be in this category this time round!

Have you tried any of these products?
did you get on with them?
